FC Sonas, Scotland's first Gaelic Community Football Club


FC Sonas will now offer a comprehensive pathway for Boys and Girls in Inverness-shire to participate in regular recreational activity.

The focus will move away from weekly drop in sessions to weekly age-group team trainings and work towards entering a local games programme.

  • In 3-Way Partnership with the Highland Council and Highlife Highland we are offering an After-School Football Activity Programme to provide more regular participation opportunities through the medium of Gaelic. 

    The new programme aims to provide a regular extension to the Gaelic immersive experience to help progress Gaelic language usage from the classroom to the playing field in Inverness-shire, Ross-shire & Lochaber. 

    This will include access to weekly training sessions for Gaelic Medium Primary Pupils from U6-U12, alongside access to weekly training sessions for Gaelic Medium Secondary Pupils from U12-U14, both Boys & Girls.
